The Is First Day of Month function determines if the current day is the first day of a new month in a data series. Parameters ------------------ None. Function Value ------------------------ If this is the first record for a new month in the data series, it returns +1. In all other cases, it returns 0. Note that this is not the same as checking if the Day Of Month function is 1. For end-of-day data, this value is true when the first trading day in each month is encountered. The value at the beginning of a data series is 0, not 1. This enables calculations and predictions to use this value uniformly as the first trading day of a month.
