TradingSolutions Function Library
| Most Recent Long Signal [RecentLong] |
|
Return to Complete List of Functions |
The Most Recent Long Signal function returns the current value of an entry/exit signal if it is a long signal; otherwise, it returns the previous value of this function.
Parameters ------------------ Signal The entry/exit signal to evaluate.
The signal parameter does not need to be formatted to be displayed as a signal to be used in this function.
Function Value ------------------------ If the signal is currently a long signal, it returns the current value of the signal. A long signal is defined to be an enter long signal or an exit long signal.
If it is not a long signal, it returns the value from the last evaluation. Therefore, if the previous value of the signal was a long signal, it returns that. Otherwise, it looks at the value of the signal before that.
If no long signals have occured in the signal, the function returns 0.
This function is primarily used as support for the Current Position of Signal function.
