TradingSolutions Function Library

  Most Recent Short Signal [RecentShort]
Return to Complete List of Functions
The Most Recent Short Signal function returns the current value of an entry/exit signal if it is a short signal; otherwise, it returns the previous value of this function.

Parameters
------------------
Signal         The entry/exit signal to evaluate.

The signal parameter does not need to be formatted to be displayed as a signal to be used in this function.

Function Value
------------------------
If the signal is currently a short signal, it returns the current value of the signal. A short signal is defined to be an enter short signal or an exit short signal.

If it is not a short signal, it returns the value from the last evaluation. Therefore, if the previous value of the signal was a short signal, it returns that. Otherwise, it looks at the value of the signal before that.

If no short signals have occured in the signal, the function returns 0.

This function is primarily used as support for the Current Position of Signal function.
