John Abbot
Part-Time Independent Trader

John Abbot is a part-time trader who also is also involved in projects in the environmental science field. Dr. Abbot worked as a scientist for 20-years in various universities and research & development facilities, primarily working on complex industrial processes such as catalytic cracking in petroleum refining. During this time, he worked with (neural network) computer models on kinetic behavior trying to fit data and model by parameter adjustments to assist in predicting and understanding underlying phenomena. Dr. Abbot holds numerous degrees including a PhD in Chemistry from McGill University in Canada, a Masters Degree in Biotechnology from the University of Queensland, an MBA from Deakin University in Australia and two graduate degrees in Applied Finance and Investment and the other in Applied Computing.

Dr. Abbot began exclusively using TradingSolutions 2 years ago, only spending a day or two each week with it examining hundreds of models for various ASX shares. He is currently trading an End-of-Day model for an ASX200 property trust with an Annualized Return of over 500%, 30 annual trades and 75% wins. Mr. Abbot typically trades 4 to 5 models at any given time, each of which generally trades every few days to every few weeks.
