TradingSolutions Sample Performance on Wealth-Lab

Introducing Quotes Plus Support and Multiple Periodicity Streaming
TradingSolutions v2.1 Build 030825 is now available from the TradingSolutions website. This build adds several usability enhancements and improvements, as well as fixing several issues that were encountered in the previous builds of TradingSolutions v2.1.

Key improvements in this build include:
- Support for importing end-of-day data from Quotes Plus.
- Support for streaming multiple periodicities from eSignal.
- Improved usage of multiple periodicities in calculations and predictions.
Key fixes in this build include:
- Fixed problems with charts and spreadsheets not displaying newly created fields.
- Fixed problems with selected trading solutions files not loading properly.
- Fixed problem with Portfolio view hanging on missing signal analysis values.

Quick Tips: Importing Multiple Symbols
The Import Data Wizard is a powerful and flexible tool for importing many different types of data into TradingSolutions. One of the lesser-known capabilities is the ability to enter multiple symbols to download.

When you select “Download new data from the Internet”, the first step is to indicate which data source you would like to import from and what periodicity you would like to import. (The periodicity is the size of each bar of data - 5 minutes, one hour, one day, etc.)
After you specify this information, the “Select Symbols to Download” page is displayed. This page features an interactive list of U.S. and international symbols that you can select from. If you already know the symbols you would like to download, you can bypass the list by typing the symbols directly into the box labeled “Enter Symbols”.
In addition to entering symbols one-at-a-time, you can also enter multiple symbols separated by commas or semi-colons. Even more useful is the ability to cut and paste a list of symbols from another program or website directly into this box. For example, you could past the symbols for the entire NASDAQ 100 directly into this box. After copying the symbols into the Windows clipboard, simply click in the “Enter Symbols” box and press the Windows paste key (either Shift-Insert or Ctrl-V).
Remember that you only need to specify the symbols once by name. After the first time you import data into your portfolio, simply select “Update data in the target group” in the Import Data Wizard to update all of the stocks in the currently selected group with the most recent information available.

Many TradingSolutions users read Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities (TASC), the Traders' Magazine. It's a great way to trade smarter with detailed information on trading strategies, charting patterns, indicators, and computerized trading methods. As a free service to our users, we arrange for the “Traders' Tips” section of the magazine to include tips and techniques for implementing many of the indicators found in the magazine in TradingSolutions.
