Importing Data from Yahoo Finance
Yahoo.com is a website on the Internet which includes a financial section called Yahoo Finance. Yahoo Finance provides access to historical data through a web interface. Access to the website and its information is free and does not require a subscription.
TradingSolutions can download end-of-day historical data over the Internet from Yahoo Finance. This allows you to keep all of the data in your portfolio up-to-date with the push of a few buttons.
Configuring TradingSolutions to Use Yahoo Finance
Yahoo Finance is defined as a "data source" in TradingSolutions. Since no subscription is required to access data on Yahoo.com, no configuration is required.

Special Considerations with Yahoo Finance
Historical data on the Yahoo Finance website is not split-adjusted. However, an additional split-and-dividend-adjusted closing price is available from the website. Since split-adjusted data is typically preferred for technical analysis, TradingSolutions automatically derives the split-adjusted prices from the historical prices and the adjusted closing price.
Ä Note: Since the adjusted closing price is only reported in cents, the automatic split-adjustment of stock data may not be possible for the oldest data in the data series due to rounding errors. If TradingSolutions detects that this may occur, only the data after this point will be downloaded and a message will be displayed indicating this has occurred.
