Export a Trading Solution for Another User

Export a trading solution.

Here’s how you can export a trading solution for use by other TradingSolutions users.

Step-by-step Instructions
Part 1: Exporting an Existing Solution

1.    Select Export Trading Solution… from the File menu.

To import or export data, functions, entry/exit systems, or trading solutions, use the File menu. In this case, we want to export a trading solution, so select Export Trading Solution…. This will display the Export Trading Solution Dialog.

2.    On the Export Trading Solution Dialog, select the “Model Optimal Signal with VHF” trading solution from the “My Trading Solutions” group and press OK.

Select “Model Optimal Signal with VHF” from the “My Trading Solutions” group and press OK.

3.    Press the Save button to save your trading solution.

After you select the trading solution you would like to export, a dialog labeled Export Trading Solution As will be displayed. This allows you to specify the name and location to use when storing your trading solution. By default, the file will be named with the name of the solution. Press the Save button to save the solution now.

Ä    Note: This exported file could now be copied or sent to another portfolio or TradingSolutions user to recreate these fields on another computer.

i   How can someone else use my trading solution?

You can send this exported trading solution to other TradingSolutions users through e-mail or copy the file over a local area network (LAN). You can also upload it to a web site and make it available for download from the Internet.

Once another TradingSolutions user has the file on their machine, they can import the trading solution for use in their portfolio by selecting Import Trading Solution… from the File menu. They can also import it using the Import a Solution… button in the Apply a Trading Solution Wizard.
